Joining ABPsi is easy. Membership is open to individuals at various career levels. Students are highly encouraged to join!

 

 

Membership is open to:

 

• Professionals - Individuals who hold a Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology.

• Professional Associates - Individuals who hold a Master's or Doctoral degree in one of the other Behavioral Sciences.

• Professional Adjuncts - Individuals hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and/or one of the other Behavioral Sciences.

• Graduate Students - Individuals who are currently enrolled at the graduate level (Master's or Doctorate) in the area of Psychology.

• Undergraduate Students - Individuals who are currently enrolled at the undergraduate level in the area of Psychology.

• Professional Affiliates- Individuals who are not eligible for other membership categories, but are committed to ABPsi's goals and objectives.

STL ABPsi Local Chapter Membership Process: 

 

There are four categories of local chapter membership: 

2. Regular Member: Regular Membership refers to the class of individuals who are practicing professionals in the field of psychology or in the allied social sciences.  Regular membership entitles the individual to vote; to hold office; to serve on committees; to receive mailings; to attend free activities, including meetings of the Chapter; and to participate in other ways deemed necessary or appropriate by the Executive Committee.

2. Student Member: Student membership refers to the class of individuals who are currently registered as full- or part-time undergraduate or graduate students in an accredited academic institution and who are majoring in the field of psychology or the allied social sciences.  Student membership entitles the individual to all rights and privileges of Regular Membership.

3. Associate Member: Associate membership refers to the class of individuals who are not current practicing professionals.  Associate members are entitled to all rights and privileges as Regular Membership except to vote and to hold office in the Chapter.

4. Supporter of STL ABPsi: Refers to the class of individuals who are committed to the goals and objectives of STL ABPsi and are not eligible for any other membership category.  Supporters are not formal members of STL ABPsi, and are ineligible to vote or hold office.

 

The process to complete local chapter membership:

• Those interested in local chapter membership should visit the ABPsi website to complete their national membership and dues based on the national membership categories.  

• Submit proof of national membership and paid dues receipt to the chapter:

  • Send screenshot and or print out of payment confirmation, OR Forward confirmation to membership email: stlabpsi@gmail.com

• Once confirmation of national dues is confirmed by the STL ABPsi Vice President, an email with link to complete membership form for STL ABPsi and payment for local dues will be sent.

• The STL Vice President will provide a confirmation email once local chapter membership has been processed

• Questions, issues, or problems regarding national or local chapter membership can be emailed to stlabpsi@gmail.com
